Pierre Lévy presents the major conference on last day of the ICML9
Pierre Lévy will be the major conferencist in the last day of the ICML9 congress, on September 23rd , with the conference “METAPHYSICS P2P to the economy of information and human development.”
In his presentation, Lévy will speak about the museums and libraries online convergence and the scientific and businesses digital networks growing development that, jointly with the development of the internet art and of the internet as social expression, lead to a common “semantic coordinated system”, or meta language to the information of economy. This meta language should be designed in order to support the needs of the continuous apprenticeship network and the international collaborative efforts toward the human development, including the health.
Confronted with the ciberespace transcultural challenge, this meta language should also go favorable to the obstacles of “metaphysics P2P”, which it means that:
- each community (virtual) is in the center of an original and valid universe of sense: its context or ontological point-of-view;
- each meta language community recognizes that other meta languages communities are also in the center of a valid and original universe of sense;
- except by the sustainability in a context of global interdependence, there are no limits for the development of new senses, new communities, new points-of- ontological-view;
- in concerning the same meta language, the communities share the coordinated system of an infinite semantic space, where the meanings phenomena are measured, computed, analyzed, synthesized, simulated and shared by every possible point-of- ontological-view.
