Ibrahima Bob is from Senegal and holds a diploma in Reproductive Health Studies (University of London, Centre for Population Studies, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine) and in Health Informatics and Information Sciences. He works as the DfID Small Grants Scheme Co-ordinator at the British Embassy in Dakar.

Ibrahima is also President of the Association for Health Information and Libraries in Africa (AHILA) and his professional interests include improving access to information, Information & Communications Technologies (ICTs) training, and health information resources for developing countries.
