P51 - A parallel between Knowledge Management and Clinical Meetings held in a hospital – a well succeed model

Participantes:
The acquired experience at Fundação Pio XII with Clinical Meetings was discussed in this work as a proposal of a model, which can be used for any kind of organization, to provide  a successful systematisation of Knowledge Management (KM).
This proposal was based on the principle that an organization can not produce knowledge by itself without the individuals’ initiative and thegroup interaction. The adopted model can be justified by the importance of changing individual knowledge (ability inherently linked to people) into organizational resources.
As in Communities of Practices, some atributes are found in these meetings – such as the provision of a multidiscplinary environment, the stimulus to participate and discuss for every one in the group, the presentation of ideas in both oral and written forms and the fundamental role of a gatekeeper - help the organization providing solutions and creating the prime conditions  to knowledge growth, be shared, be preserved and be used in a optimize d way by the whole organization.
