P63 - The importance of the strategic planning in the area of the information in science and technology in health

The area of Information in Science and Technology in Health is associated to the dissemination and spreading of information accomplished according to a diffusion politics, which contemplates the different publics with whom it keeps relation and the strategies to make them possible. Therefore, it includes production, analysis, treatment and diffusion of new knowledge, generating information spread through different ways.
The appropriate handling of this information needs a model of strategic planning which allows the establishment of goals for a periodic measuring system, avoiding the projects of this area to become different from what was pre-defined.
Nowadays, the inefficiency of an appropriate model of planning is one of the weak points identified in the health information and communication area which frequently requires more accurate indicators and an efficient system that allows to evaluate the established goals, making clear the actions and their results.
In order for the success i n the projects development and the dissemination of the scientific and technical knowledge, it is suggested the integration of a new model of strategic planning with institutional initiatives, becoming necessary the formularization of an integrated planning system and a uniform definition of indicators.
